Serena Williams rolls past Simona Halep and into Rome final
Serena Williams is one win away from her fourth straight title after seeing off Simona Halep 6-3 6-0 in the semi-final of the Italian Open.
The world number one needed an hour and five minutes to extend her career-best winning streak to 23 matches.
Williams has won titles in Miami, Charleston and Madrid since losing to Marion Bartoli in Dubai in mid-February.
The American, who was champion in Rome back in 2002, will play either third seed Victoria Azarenka or seventh seed Sara Errani in Sunday's final.
