Dallas Cowboys NT Josh Brent's trial date is Sept. 23
Dallas Cowboys nose tackle Josh Brent's criminal court case is scheduled for Sept. 23, Bloomberg reports, citing Dallas County District Attorney Craig Watkins.
Brent was arrested and charged with intoxication manslaughter after a December 2012 crash that killed teammate Jerry Brown Jr., who was a passenger in the car.
The Dallas Morning News cited a source in reporting last week that the Cowboys have decided Brent will not play for them at all this season. The team has had no official statement on the matter.
Brent remains on the Cowboys roster. He is scheduled to make $630,000 in 2013.
