Ryback, Alberto Del Rio and Kofi Kingston stand tall on WWE Smackdown
Ryback showcased his power once again on WWE Smackdown when he dished out a beating to six-time world champion Chris Jericho.
The Human Wrecking Ball, who will battle WWE Champion John Cena at Extreme Rules in a Last Man Standing Match, knocked off Kane on Raw - but he didn't bother with a pinfall on Friday night.
Ryback locked horns with a fired-up Jericho in Raleigh, North Carolina, with the latter using his trademark moves, the Walls of Jericho and the Codebreaker, to take his more muscular rival down.
But when the bout spilled outside the ring, the number one contender to the WWE Title went on a rampage, tossing his veteran opponent into the barricade, hitting him with a low blow and then cracking him with a Meathook Clothesline onto the Smackdown announce desk.
Elsewhere, Alberto Del Rio garnered momentum ahead of the Triple Threat Ladder Match for the World Heavyweight strap at Extreme Rules by felling his adversaries in that calsh, current titlist Dolph Ziggler and the Real American Jack Swagger.
Swagger had been set to fight Ziggler's muscle Big E Langston but before the contest could begin, Del Rio made his move, bludgeoning the Showoff with a brutal kick to the head and then smacking both the champion and Swagger with a ladder.
Plus, Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston bested Cody Rhodes - and then came to Daniel Bryan's aid when the WWE Tag Team Titlist was on the verge of being attacked by The Shield, forcing Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns to flee from ringside.
Big Show, meanwhile, made light work of Tensai, being shellacked by a devastating RKO from his Extreme Rules foe Randy Orton, and Mark Henry dragged two tractor trailers, weighting in excess of 110,000 pounds, to shatter the previous world record.
