Antonio Felix da Costa will step up to the role of reserve driver at Red Bull for the Chinese Grand Prix as the Portuguese driver edges closer to an F1 seat.
The 21-year-old is one of the hottest talents in single-seater racing at the moment and has shot to prominence since joined Red Bull's young driver programme in the middle of last year.

He won four of the last five races in the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Championship, finishing second in the other, and has carried that form into 2013, picking up a win at in the at Monza on Sunday, having been denied a potential victory the previous day by a puncture.

Regular reserve driver Sebastien Buemi will miss this weekend's race as he is contesting the opening round of the World Endurance Championship at Silverstone for Toyota, where he will partner Sky Sports F1 analyst Anthony Davidson.

Da Costa will be on standby for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso should any of Sebastian Vettel, Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo or Jean-Eric Vergne be unable to drive in a session.
