Jimmy White will face Robert Milkins with a place at the Crucible at stake
Jimmy White is just one win away from a return to the Crucible Theatre after winning his second qualifying match ahead of the Betfair World Championship.
The massively popular 50-year-old was a six-time runner-up in Sheffield between 1984 and 1994 but he has not qualified for the main draw since he lost to David Gray in the first round back in 2006.
However, the World No. 57 beat Tian Pengfei in his first qualifier and followed up with a 10-4 victory over another Chinese player, Xiao Guodong.
White will now take on fellow Englishman Robert Milkins at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield on Sunday and the winner will be in Monday's draw for the World Championship.
The action gets underway at the Crucible on 20 April but six-time winner Steve Davis will not be participating.
The 55-year-old was beaten 10-7 by Norway's Kurt Maflin in his round three qualifying match but the up-and-coming Jack Lisowski kept his Crucible hopes alive with a 10-4 victory over James Wattana.
