Josef 'Pepe' Franc handed wildcard for Czech Republic Speedway Grand Prix
Czech ace Josef 'Pepe' Franc has been handed the wildcard for the Mitas Czech Republic FIM Speedway Grand Prix in Prague on May 18.
Franc used the wildcard at the meeting to his full advantage last year, picking up three heat wins as he raced into the semis.
This sensational performance saw him drafted into the Czech national team for the Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup last July.
He will be looking to again press his claim for a return to the national team this summer, when his country competes in the SWC Final on July 20 at the Marketa Stadium.
Franc, who rides for Prague in the Czech league, wears the No.16 race jacket for the meeting.
He is joined by track reserves and Czech Under-21 internationals Vaclav Milik, who starts at No.17, and Zdenek Holub, who lines up at No.18.
