Real Madrid overcame Real Valladolid in a seven-goal thriller as Atletico Madrid drew at Deportivo La Coruna and there were mixed fortunes for relegation strugglers Osasuna and Granada.

Cristiano Ronaldo made it 199 goals for Real Madrid in less than four seasons as two towering headers helped earn an entertaining 4-3 win over Real Valladolid.

Valladolid took a shock lead after eight minutes when Oscar fired low into the net from 12 yards but Angel Di Maria levelled in the 26th minute for Real with a low shot from the right of the area.

Ronaldo completed the turnaround in the 32nd minute by heading Di Maria's right-wing cross home, but Madrid were stunned again within three minutes when Omar's pass set up Javi Guerra and he slid his shot into the bottom corner from close range.

Almost immediately Ronaldo had a shot from the edge of the area parried by Jaime before the keeper saw a brilliant 30-yard free-kick from the Portugal forward thunder back off the bar.

The hosts went back in front four minutes after the restart when Karim Benzema sent in Kaka to finish before Ronaldo rose highest to power home Mesut Ozil's corner.

Sastre pulled one back three minutes from time, scoring with a perfectly-executed 25-yard volley into the bottom corner, but Valladolid could not find a fourth as Madrid held on.

Deportivo drew 0-0 at home with Atletico to pick up a point in their survival fight in a result that keeps their opponents on course for UEFA Champions League qualification.

Valencia rolled over Osasuna 4-0 at the Mestalla to strike a blow to the visitors' hopes of avoiding relegation.

The hosts took the lead six minutes before the break when Roberto Soldado tapped into an empty net after Jonas' shot had been spilled by Osasuna keeper Andres Fernandez.

Valencia got a second minutes later when Ricardo Costa made a diagonal run across the area to head home a free-kick from Tino Costa.

Just before the hour mark things went from bad to worse for Osasuna. First Alejandro Arribas was sent off for bringing down Soldado on the edge of the area when the striker was through on goal.

Ever Banega rubbed salt into the wounds by smashing the free-kick in off the underside of the bar, leaving Fernandez helpless.

The visitors were then reduced to nine men, David Timor picking up two bookings in the space of six minutes, and their misery was complete when full-back Nano handled the ball in the area to give away a penalty, which Jonas tucked into the bottom corner with the last kick of the match.

Granada secured a huge boost in their bid to avoid relegation from La Liga after Odion Ighalo's goal earned a 1-0 home win over Malaga.

The winner came on 28 minutes when Yacine Brahimi got down the right wing and put in a cross which the Malaga defence should have dealt with, but Ighalo got ahead of Martin Demichelis and struck the ball first time over Caballero and into the net.
