Former captain Younus Khan left out of Pakistan squad for ICC Champions Trophy
Younus Khan's one-day international career looks to be at an end after he was overlooked by Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy.
The 35-year-old batsman was left out of the provisional 30-player squad for the June tournament in England.
Younus has struggled for form in the 50-over arena over the last year, and mustered only 116 runs in five innings in the recent series against South Africa.
He has scored 7,014 runs in 253 one-day matches at an average of almost 32, but he has not scored a century in the 50-over format since November 2008.
Chief selector Iqbal Qasim said the Pakistani squad was a "mix of youth and experience", and added: "Younis was not considered after he did not show the form in the last few matches."
Fellow veteran Shahid Afridi has been named in the provisional squad, but he faces a battle to force his way into the final 15 after also struggling in South Africa, failing to take a wicket in the one-day series.
Provisional squad: Nasir Jamshed, Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Ahmed Shahzad, Misbah-ul-Haq, Haris Sohail, Asaf Shafiq, Umar Akmal, Shoaib Malik, Umer Amin, Sohail Tanvir, Hammad Azam, Azhar Ali, Shahid Afridi, Asad Ali, Anwer Ali, Junaid Khan, Mohammad Irfan, Wahab Riaz, Umar Gul, Rahat Ali, Ehsan Adil, Imran Khan, Aizaz Cheema, Yasir Arafat, Saeed Ajmal, Abdul Rehman, Zulfiqar Babar, Kamran Akmal, M Rizwan.
