Minnesota Wild remain a game away after loss to Edmonton Oilers
The Minnesota Wild failed to confirm their place in the post-season as they were beaten 6-1 by the Edmonton Oilers.
Corey Potter and Nail Yakupov scored two goals apiece while Taylor Hall and Jordan Eberle each contributed a goal and two assists for the Oilers, who were already out of play-off contention.
A win in their final game against Colorado will see the Wild through to the post-season, and they may also progress with a defeat depending on other results.
Goals from Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Marcus Kruger gave Presidents' Cup winners the Chicago Blackhawks a 3-1 win over the Calgary Flames.
There were shootout victories for Buffalo and Colorado, the Sabres beating the New York Islanders 2-1 and the Avalanche edging out the Phoenix Coyotes 5-4.
