King's Lynn claim league point at Swindon
Swindon returned to winning ways, but it was a close run thing as they beat King's Lynn 49-46 at the Abbey Stadium.
The Robins started well and dominated the early part of the meeting and by Heat 10 they had built up a 14-point lead.
However, The Stars hit back - firstly with Niels Kristian Iversen on a tactical ride they claimed a 7-2, followed by a 5-1 to close to five points.
But Swindon reacted and managed to keep them at bay, although the result means King's Lynn took an away point which kept them above the Robins having took maximum spoils off them in Norfolk 24-hours previous.
Swindon were led home by skipper Hans Andersen, who returned to the side following his European Championship commitments to score 14 points.
Edward Kennett (8+2), Troy Batchelor (, Nick Morris 7+1 and Peter Kildemand (7) were all solid - but they all only managed one win apiece.
Iversen was top man for the visitors with 16, whilst guest reserve Stuart Robson scored an excellent paid 12. Rory Schlein claimed paid 11 before he had to withdraw from the meeting after taken a heavy fall in Heat 13.
Robins boss Alun Rossiter was unhappy to see his side throw away a league point in the closing stages.
"We were disappointing," he said.
"A few mechanical gremlins haunted us and at fourteen-points up it should have been over and done with.
"We had a bit of bad luck in the wrong places, but we'll move on and hopefully we can improve next week against Belle Vue."
