Former world champion Graeme Dott came from two frames down to beat German Masters runner-up Marco Fu 5-3 in the last 32 of the Bank of Beijing China Open.

Hong Kong's Fu won the first two frames at the penultimate world ranking event of the season with a top break of 54, but Dott found a run of 76 as he won five of the next six to progress.

The Scot, who will now face Peter Ebdon or Marcus Campbell in the last 16, told World Snooker: "Marco played well at the start of the match and before I knew it I was 2-0 down.

"He had a chance to go 3-0 but after I won the third frame I played pretty well. I hate losing so I never give up.

"It's hard to sleep when you get to China because of the jet lag. I'll just practise before my next match and hope that my game is good."

Jimmy Robertson stunned Wang Yuchen to triumph 5-1 in the wild-card round with fellow Britons Jack Lisowski and Anthony McGill also coming through their matches.

The world number 54 scored runs of 142, 121, 53 and 126 to set up a meeting with namesake Neil Robertson.

Cheltenham-born Lisowski closed out his match with Zhou Yuelong with a 102 to settle a 5-1 win, having lost the first frame, while McGill edged out Iran's Ehsan Heydari Nezhad 5-3 despite producing a top break of just 49.

Lisowski will play Judd Trump for a place in the last 16 while Glaswegian McGill prepares to face Haikou World Open champion Mark Allen.
