Australian captain Michael Clarke spent a night in hospital suffering from gastroenteritis
Australian captain Michael Clarke was taken to hospital on Sunday following a bout of gastroenteritis.
Cricket Australia confirmed Clarke spent Sunday night in a Sydney hospital but was released on Monday.
A statement from the body read: "Cricket Australia today advised Michael Clarke was hospitalised overnight with gastroenteritis.
"Clarke has since been discharged from hospital and CA confirms he is recovering at home."
The 31-year-old returned to Australia from India nine days ago after breaking down with a back injury which will see him sidelined for seven to 10 weeks.
