British heavyweight David Haye has announced that he will return to action against Manuel Charr in Manchester on 29 June.

And former world heavyweight champion Haye has also confirmed that his camp have struck up a commercial relationship with promoter Eddie Hearn.

Haye retired in October 2011 but returned to the ring last July to stop his fellow Brit Dereck Chisora in the fifth round at Upton Park, before confirming he was making a full-time return to boxing last month.

He lost his world title to Wladimir Klitschko in July 2011 and his ultimate aim will be a re-match, or a fight against Wladimir's brother Vitali.
One career loss for Charr

But Haye will first take on Charr, who is known as 'Diamond Boy' and has a 23-1 record, his only defeat coming at the hands of Vitali Klitschko in September last year.

Charr, a German-based fighter of Lebanese and Syrian descent, has used his Twitter feed to taunt Haye on several occasions.

And Hayemaker Boxing released a statement on Sunday which read: "Former WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye will go head-to-head with next opponent Manuel Charr at a press conference this Wednesday

"He has agreed a deal to fight the top 10-ranked contender on June 29 in Manchester.

"Haye is determined to add another world title to his collection and sees his June opponent as the next step towards doing just that.

"The much talked about heavyweight showdown will be televised live on Sky Sports and promoted as part of a new long-term relationship between Adam Booth of Hayemaker and Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport."

Hearn, the head of Matchroom Sport, has seen his stable of boxers grow significantly in recent months, with George Groves, Ricky Burns and Luke Campbell joining a group which already included Kell Brook, Carl Froch and Tony Bellew.
