New threat to Brook-Alexander as challenger awaits news on foot injury
Kell Brook is set to discover on Monday whether injury will again disrupt his world title fight with Devon Alexander.
The Sheffield welterweight has damaged a foot in training for the twice-postponed contest with IBF champion Alexander.
And Brook now faces an anxious wait for scan results which could threaten the May 18 date in Atlantic City.
Promoter Eddie Hearn told BBC Sport: "Kell will see a specialist about the injury on Monday, when we will look to make an announcement.
"He has had MRI and CT scans, but we will not know more until we have spoken to the specialist."
Unbeaten Brook's first world title fight was originally scheduled for January 19, only for the challenger to injure an ankle.
A rearranged February 23 date was then put back to May when Alexander damaged a bicep muscle.
