David Haye is reported to be starting a full-time comeback in July

David Haye is reported to be planning a return to the ring for the first time in a year on July 6.

Rumours had been circulating that Haye was looking to become a legitimate challenger to the world heavyweight titles after failing to secure a date with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko.

The 32-year-old has had just one fight since his woeful attempt to beat Wladimir Klitschko in the summer of 2011, beating Dereck Chisora at Upton Park last July.

Haye fought under a Luxembourg licence on that occasion having 'retired' following the Klitschko loss.

However, the Mail Online say the British board has agreed to re-licence the Londoner pending the usual medical tests.

Haye is still highly ranked by the sanctioning bodies but must work his way into a mandatory position after talks with both Klitschkos reached a stalemate.

Elder brother Vitali now appears set to retire and focus on a political career, while Wladimir continues to knock out all those put before him.

His next defence is against another cherry-picked opponent in Italy's Francesco Pianeta on May 4.
